BTM Delivery
« on: May 03, 2006, 04:01:41 AM »
We are having problems again this month with bulk mail centers. To aid our research, can you post when you got your April BTM? If not sure of the exact date, a 3 day range would be helpful. We understand that no one on the East coast has gotten theirs yet. If you live on the East Coast and have received your April issue, please post here and let us know.

Mat 11th...no apris issue. (Located in NY)

Hey Mr. Jim King,

not trying to be rude, but you gues are running a business here, figure out how to get things out on time. I havent recieved an issue on time for 8 months. Whats the deal with that. Every time i call you guys i get the same response "The problem is with the post office on your end" I know this is a load of garbage. I love your magazine, and love the ball reviews in them, but if this keeps up im going to have to cancel my subscription and switch to bowlers journal or something.

I have stated on this forum several times that our printer gets the magazine out on the 15th or 16th of every month. It is supposed to get to your house by the end of the month. If it doesn't, the Post Office screwed up somewhere. Period! If you haven't gotten yours on time for that many months in a row, I hope you have complained at least as vociferously to them as you have on this forum. We are trying very hard to fix this problem, but working with the Post Office is a slow, tedious process. It will be much harder to fix without feedback to them from you, our subscribers. At any point, if you don't think you are getting your money's worth with BTM, send us your subscription name and address and we will gladly refund the remainder of your subscription cost. What you do with the money is your decision, even if you spend it on the BJ.

Ironman, with all due respect the customer should not have to fight whatever battles you folks at BTM need to be fighting yourselves. If it is infact USPS, its not the customers problem, if its the printers its not the customers problem either. I paid my money for the subscription so I have done my part. Now its up to you folks to give the paying customer their moneys worth in a timely manner.

BTW, I get any other subscriptions and mail here in a timely manner from many different points in the country. Thats why I am basically saying its BTM's baby to deal with, not your customers baby to deal with. Another question, I take it the good folks at BTM get their paycheck from the customer correct? Afterall, if there were no customers you folks wouldnt have that job correct? I just got the jist that in your last post it seems like that may have been forgotten. I understand your frustration but, the sooner the customer is happy, you folks will be happy also.

Good day to you.

Yes, it is our problem. I am not, by any means, passing the buck. We have compained and harangued our printer and believe me, they have passed it on the post office, and we have spent hours at a time on the phone with the USPS, but consumer feedback is ten times more effective than if it comes from us. The complaint form at the USPS website is certainly a good start, though when we have used it ourselves, we haven't gotten timely responses. The mainline magazines aren't having any delivery problems. Several of other "niche" magazines like us, are having problems, especially if printed on the West Coast. Raising subscription rates to accomodate first class postage would be one answer, but we don't want to ever have to do that. Hopefully, moving our printer to the Midwest will help. We'll see.
