BTM Delivery
« on: May 03, 2006, 04:01:41 AM »
We are having problems again this month with bulk mail centers. To aid our research, can you post when you got your April BTM? If not sure of the exact date, a 3 day range would be helpful. We understand that no one on the East coast has gotten theirs yet. If you live on the East Coast and have received your April issue, please post here and let us know.

Yes, it is our problem. I am not, by any means, passing the buck. We have compained and harangued our printer and believe me, they have passed it on the post office, and we have spent hours at a time on the phone with the USPS, but consumer feedback is ten times more effective than if it comes from us. The complaint form at the USPS website is certainly a good start, though when we have used it ourselves, we haven't gotten timely responses. The mainline magazines aren't having any delivery problems. Several of other "niche" magazines like us, are having problems, especially if printed on the West Coast. Raising subscription rates to accomodate first class postage would be one answer, but we don't want to ever have to do that. Hopefully, moving our printer to the Midwest will help. We'll see.

If the problem is infact USPS and there is NO other problems at all, I would glady pay more for first class mail service. This is just me though and I cant speak for anyone else. If its an option let me know.

I completely agree.... I am honestly considering cancelling my subscription....I subscribed in January and I have 2 issues to show for it... That to me is just unacceptable in any business... I'm going to take my chances with bowlers Journal, it can't be any worse...

Left a message of no-get. Mr. King hope the move goes well and you can clear this up soon. I guess I'm in the minority as I will wait a little extra time to get a more informative mag instead of 75%  advertisements. Good luck, just pop a tums.

Sir Ashley, please call the office w/contact info and let them know you want your money back. We will gladly refund it. You can get first class mailings now, if you want, by paying extra. Tell the office that you wish to do this and they will charge your cc the extra postage and switch you over. You will get a first class issue mailed directly from the office each month. I can't remember exactly how much extra it is...maybe $15 or so.

I'm still waiting on mine here in PA, but for some reason an issue of BJ showed up in my mailbox....  I browsed through it..besides a page containg three reviews, it reminded me of readers digest...  The aritcles seemed to be more geared towards the "story" type, and very little technical.  I have to say that BTM is leaps and bounds ahead of the others with useful bowling information.  I don't care if I have to wait two months to recieve a copy, its the best technical bowling publication available.

We sent a notification of our missing issue through the website last weekend.  It said after we hit "submit" that it would be answered in 3 days. Still nothing.  I guess I'll spend some time Monday on the phone. Kind of pointless to have a "contact us" button that fakes it.
