BTM delivery?
« on: April 08, 2010, 01:24:24 PM »
Anyone of the East Coast get their April issue yet?

Considering that each issue is sent to the PO from the publisher around the 15th of the previous month (April issue is sent around March 15th), my delivery of each issue is less consistent than any magazine to which I have ever subscribed. I used to get it quite regularly around the 25th - 30th of each month.

It's gotten so bad, I've gotten the last 2 issue of Bowlers' Journal since my last issue of BTM, the March issue. BJI arrives quite regularly somewhere between the 4th and the 9th of each month. I know service at the PO has gone down in recent history but this is getting ridiculous.

I'm only whining since I'm so disappointed. Now they, BTM, say "don't even bother to contact us until the 15th of the month (April)". That's 30 days after they give to the Post Office for delivery. Magazines are supposed to be 2nd class mail. This is more like 15th class.

I might not be so peeved if I didn't enjoy reading the magazine so much.

Charlest-
I've had my fair share of delivery issues with BTM before, but I am getting increasingly irritated beyond that too.  I renewed back in February.  In the email I was told I needed to renew by a certain date to get the feb issue.  I did so, and indicated on my renewal that I wanted to be sure I got that issue.  I did not.

I'm in the midwest and I have yet to receive my April issue.  This seems to come up from time to time and is very frustrating.

Received my (East Coast) April issue on April 5th. I have never had a delivery problem with BTM, and, like you, also value the magazine.

you can read the full issue at BTM''s website.  subscription number and full name will get you into the entire magazine.  I too like reading, but I can''t be bothered to wait for them to finally mail one out.  Too bad they don''t have a solid online archive for subscribers

In NY, I still haven''t gotten April either.

Their customer service seems pretty good though.. My issue was water damaged and torn by the post office. Called them up and they sent me out another issue. I received it in a few days.
Give them a call and I'm sure they will be happy to send you the issue you missed..

You''re supposed to wait until the 15th of the month to tell them you didn''t get the previous issue. I called them 8 or 9 months ago for the same problem. They told me the same thing. I think they''ve given up on getting the Post Office to work with them. They''re too small to give the PO any grief and back it up. Now if the TV GUide which I get religiously every Wednesday called the PO and complained about my delivery, you bet the PO would trace down the problem.

Thanks, everyone.

I see you all have lots of patience, but are as unhappy as I am about this. I've been subscribing since around 1997 and have only had problems the last couple of years.

I suppose we should worry less and just accept the inevitable. As the old saying goes,
"God give me the grace to change the things I can and accept the things I can't, and to recognize the difference between them."

My April issue hasn't arrived yet here in Colorado, but I normally get my issues between the 5th & 10th of the month.
