carrydown
« on: April 14, 2004, 09:52:28 AM »
i have a buzzsaw uranium, which gets a lot of backend, but i have trouble getting it to move when there is a lot of carrydown. switching balls seems to work ok, but i would rather be able to throw my uranium the whole time. also, slowing my ball speed works, but its hard to be consistent. any advice is appreciated.

This ball comes with a highly polished surface. This makes it skid easily on oil. Even oil that is pushed down the lane by by bowling. This surface also produces skid and flip (sudden hook). To make this ball less skid/flippy and to get the ball to grab the lane surface when some oil is pushed down the lane after some bowling, alter the surface. Take it to the proshop and have them dull the surface abit. It will reduce the skid flipp and produce more of an arc, but it will reduce that charateristic of being hyper sensitive to oil pushing down the lane. Hope this helps
