Building Wrist Muscles
« on: December 09, 2012, 10:12:06 AM »
I've been playing around with wrist positions lately, and am going to add angle to my wrist to add revs and reaction.  I lift straight up the back of the ball, and adding the angle to the wrist give me about 13 boards at the feet worth of hook.  i really like the reaction.

Anyone with suggestions other than lifting a ball in my living room to help with the building of muscles to be able to throw this "new" shot with speed and no pain?  I am currently lifting an old ball in my living room for a while each day, just wondered if anyone has gone through this and has good suggestions.
Wise bowler told me once: K.I.S.S.   Keep it simple stupid.

Sorry, but I resisted. Took the high road.
(Besides, if he can't figure that one by himself, he'll have to just keep his floppy wrist .... :D)

Agree with Charlest on the wrist curls. That helped me kick the wrist brace and never look back.

You can also look at a Marcy wrist and forearm developer.

Agree with dougb, who agrees with Charlest.  Coming from someone with really bad tendonitis, this is a must.  Even if you don't have wrist problems this is a good idea

I found that the second and third actions working with the dowel works very well.
