Storm Core and Cover Combination Video

This videos from Storm shows the reaction difference for balls with different core and cover combinations.  I applaud Storm on their videos.  They really show the average joe what is going on inside their bowling balls and what makes them work on the lanes.

I liked it when they came out with this. It's interesting to see how important cover/core matchup is

I'm not sure how I feel.  First ball - very weak cover and normal core = very little hook.  No problem.  Second ball - high performance cover and weak core = the same very little hook?  While it might not match up well, a strong cover even with a puck weight block should hook better than the one they showed.

I assume it was all exaggerated for the video...like a plastic cover was used for the weak cover...and maybe something wicked strong forcing it to check up and out early...for the strong ball.

The strong cover ball definitely wasn't checking up early to exaggerate the video.  A good example of a weak core strong cover ball that was released was the V2 Dry.  That ball was a $175 spare ball for most people.  Particle cover with a differential of something like .003 if I remember correctly.
