Would you like to share the name of the person that pulled one on you so the rest of us can watch out for him?

The reason I rarely sell here is because of things like this. I had exactly the Money experience you mentioned above, except I was selling a ball for $50 shipped and shipping was $25, coast to coast. He wanted to pay me $30. I was going to put all that effort into a $5 sale??

A friend shipped 2 balls to another ballreviews member just for the cost of shipping. The buyer shipped them back to my friend without paying for them, saying they didn't fit him.  How's that for nerve?

I've also had people tell me they were interested in the ball I was selling. Then they sent me at least 5 different messages asking about the basic behavior of the ball, because they didn't know a single thing about it. So how in h*ll were they "Interested" in it? They had the nerve not to buy it, telling me they bought a different ball cheaper. If they were in front of me, I would have been tempted to hit them.

Have I ever sold balls here? Yes.
Will I again? yes, but I don't put up with BS anymore.

Amen to that.  How about getting excuses after the ball was "sold" in principle.  I had a friend who had a ball sold to him and it never arrived.  Reason?  "My wife got mad at me and threw the closest bowling ball to her out the window.  It cracked on the driveway.  It happened to be the ball I was going to give you".

yes this place has definitly gone done hill in terms of selling equipment, or buying for that matter. I have had a couple similar experiences as you, especially with the people asking 10 stupid questions about the ball ball reaction etc. Then tell me they don't want it. They immediatly go on the ignored list.

People and their prices they will pay for your equipment. Most of my stuff i sell is in very good condition, I am lucky enough to have bowling alleys that don't damage your equipment, unless something goes wrong. Sometimes i have a ball with 40 games with maybe a few small unoticable scratches on it. I feel when the surface is in good shape, the ball is worth more money. I have a Track Uprising with maybe 20 games, and the cover is almost pristine, a little scratch in center of grip but other than that it is flawless basically. I would want atleast $45 plus shipping. I feel like this uis a good price for a ball in great condition, but opthers think i am on crack for asking that. People want something for nothing, and it is ridiculous

It depends on what your buying however you have to realize that if you charge to much for the ball and than the person has to get it redrilled than your only saving yourself 20 bucks so you might as well bought new. The most I will pay for a used bowling ball is 60 bucks. I will ask them if they will take my offer which I feel is fare and not low balling them (I wouldn't ask someone that wants $95 for ball X if they would take $30 that's just stupid). I also just ask the basic questions, how many drills, has the ball been resurfaced, what surface is on the ball now, any thing more than that is again dumb and there going to waste your time.

To answer MC no I will not name since in his profile there are many successful transactions. I have asked to be removed. The ball that I purchased was described as 4 games bowled on it, dosen't match what I'm looking for, just got it tuesday. WELL, just got it tuesday was from someone else evidently, had the turbo switch grip that was still in the ball BUT I have to guess had a solid slug put in and then re-drilled about a 1/2 further back and then another 1 1/4 slug inserted and drilled. As far as the surface, speaking as a proprietor, if this ball has only 4 games on it and they were bowled on lanes at my center, I'd CLOSE UP!!
