Is this pin o.k.?
« on: February 10, 2005, 02:51:35 AM »
I just recently picked up a TPC shooter from bowlingball.com, however, the pin sticks out slightly, it's not flush with the ball like on all my other equipment.  It's sticking up maybe 1/16th of an inch.  It's smooth, but it's a small bump on the surface.  Is this normal, or is this an issue with the ball that I need to have fixed?

Don't think So I got a few TPC same way. Unless you put the pin on the Track other wise it don't matter.

I would keep it away from your track as IGB suggested.  If it bothers you though a little work with a bevel knife will fix the height issue.  Ofcourse I wonder if there is a small defect in the ball?  My friend had his pin fall out of a ball once!

I've seen this with a few balls. Also seen it where the pin is indented into the ball. Like they said, a bevel knife should be able to fix it if its a bother.
