Are you sure that it's carrydown?
It takes an awful lot to get prodigy to carrydown, normally it just burns up, extremely quickly I might add. I'm not sure what your oil pattern is or who's bowling on the lanes, but I would be willing to say that in normal league conditions, you're looking at the ball rolling out.
HOWEVER, if you're bowling with a bunch of people throwing plastic, there's a good chance you're right & that you're looking at carrydown. Let me tell you, although very rare, when prodigy does carrydown, it's a BEAR.
My best suggestion to you would be, get right of the carrydown & get a ball that will get into its roll before it crosses the carrydown on the way to the pocket. If you've got fresh lanes before league & everyone is throwing plastic up the middle, you should have decent dry on the far outside to get the ball to bite & roll. If you're getting too much of an over reaction & crossing over, you may have to play it deep after all. You may be surprised how much bite there is around 4th arrow since not many people play there.
