Wear your glasses!

Several weeks ago I started to wear my reading glasses while bowling.  These are the same glasses that I wear when using my computer.  I haven't bowled anything lower than a 600 series since then.  Tonight I got close to bowling a 300 game and an 800 series.  Close, but no cigar.  Still, that's pretty good bowling for me!

Moral of the story:  If your vision is not perfect, wear glasses while you bowl!

my brother used to not wear his. He played an area on the lanes. When he got new glasses and wore them for bowling he was shoked to see he was playing out to the 1/2 board.

his sight was so bad he couldn't see boards just a brown lane with a white blob at the other end.

This week between practice and first game I cleaned my glasses.  In the process of doing so I snapped them across the bridge.

Of course I proceeded to shoot my second highest series of the year while using the force since I couldn't even see the arrows, let alone boards...

I'm keeping two pairs in my bowling bag from now on.  They're just cheap reading glasses from the drugstore, so if I break them, no big deal.  I'm just kicking myself for not having done this long ago.  I've was so focused on improving my technique that I didn't even think about improving my vision.
