Hot Water Treatment

Ok, I know this was posted somewhere else on how to use this to clean a bowling ball, but i could not find it.  If anyone could give me the step by step procedures on how to use this type of method to clean a bowling ball i would greatly appreciate it.  I am also wondering if i should tape up the finger holes on my ball since i have finger plugs and a thumb sleeve in my ball and would want to know if the water could do anything to effect them in anyway.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Simple Green is a half asked cleaner along with 409 and Fantastic. They will only get the very top surface of oil out of the ball. If you want to get a real deep cleaner and is safe get Zep.

I've done the hot water treatment for many years and works fine. The part above where you need to "tape the holes" isn't true, I've never done that. It is perfectly safe under say 130 degrees.

The best and most effective way is in a bathtub. Put the ball in a bucket and let the water that rises from the top go into the drain...along with all the oil.
