The first 5 weeks of our handicap league, our team took a total of 4 points (7 point system - 2 each for team game, 1 for total pins).

The last 6 weeks, we've taken them all. We took the first game tonight by more than 100 pins. That's 44 points in a row. We bowled the first place team tonight. The second game was really close. Their 1st and 2nd bowlers struck out (each with one horrible shot). The third bowler went spare - 8 count. Our lead off and second bowlers both opened. Our third bowler struck (double), 7 count, spare.

Going into the 10th frame, I had a strike in the 9th - their anchor had an open.
If I get the first one, shuts them out. Well, I threw the ball pretty well - not perfect, and ring a 10 pin. Their guy goes through the nose, crumbles a big 4. I pick up the 10 pin and strike, forcing him to get two more. He did - the second one was questionable, but the third was right there. We lost the game (and snapped our winning streak) BY ONE PIN!!!

We did take the last game and totals - we're one game behind them now for total pins. Sigh. I would have loved to have the streak hit 7 weeks! Oh, well. I guess I shoulda bowled better~!!

We're only out of first place now by one point...
In the league, there are three teams (including mine) that are real threats. We bowled one last night, the other one we hit next week. So....

Of course, in a handicap league ANYTHING can happen - and probably will.

I think it interesting that until the 6th week of the league, the blind team had taken more points than we had!
