Received a text message today that Gold County lanes in Sutter Creek is now open.

Perhaps this is the beginning...

Yes I heard they were open.  Cook League folded and they are starting a shorter 17 week draft league on April 7th.

Wow.. folded completely? or just for the season? That's a huge league.

BL.

Just for last year.  We bowled two weeks in the winter and stopped.  Too many people couldn't continue the league into the summer.  We are bowling the 17 week league and then going into the 2021 -2022 cook league after that this winter..... hopefully.

Local centers here in So Cal were informed they could operate as a "Fitness and Training business" in the Red tier with specified time slots (1.5 hours) and very limited capacity. 4 people max per lane and using every other lane

VERY interesting.. If that applied statewide that would mean every alley could open up, but would rule out 5-person team tournaments.

I know when I was at Fireside Saturday night and Sunday morning it was totally packed. I know they weren't using every other lane, but that also could have been that the max people could have been using a pair of lanes.

Regardless, I know a couple of PSOs that are open, so now that I found what I needed I can get back to punching up a trio of year-old NIB balls, and now am stuck with needing to get new gear for the kids! damned growing up and new shoes..  ;D

Received from Chuck Holland today;

Quote
Bowlers,
Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl is going to open for leagues the week of April 19th. They would like to start with a short season scratch league on Tuesday the 20th. Start time is not yet determined but depending on the interest we will figure it out and give you notice well before the start of the league. Plan on 8pm at this point.
This short league will give everyone a chance to come back and prepare for league next September. Meeting is April 20th @ 7pm on the concourse, we will bowl after. At this point plan on the league having brackets, $3, as before. All monies from brackets will be added to the league prize fund. The league will be 15 to 20 weeks long and trios as before.
Please let me know who is on your team and if you don't have a team let me know that you are interested and I will find a spot for you.

As soon as you have a team please let me know the players!

We will use the same rules as before, attached, but have to change the time frame.
As the new info comes in I will keep you updated.
