A trend???????
« on: September 13, 2011, 01:38:45 PM »
Ten years ago or so, most of the Ball Reviews topics were info, asking questions, discussions, an argument or two.

Now 99% of posts are wanting to buy or sell balls..

Apparently the ball folks have won the war.   " You gotta buy them balls; more balls = higher scores"

That's what the game is all about these days. Nobody wants to find out how to do something anymore, only what ball they can get that will do it for them, or at least make it much easier.

The manufacturers have preyed on consumers by pumping the markets full of junk, all the while touting the great properties of their newest pieces, which are, many times, nothing but clones of pieces that are already out there.

The powers that be ( the USBC and the PBA) are the ones that let this happen. Now, thanks to a bunch of greedy manufacturers, complacent, lackadaisical leaders, and a gullible, "lemming" public, this is what we've ended up with.

 Bon apetite.

I love how people blame the PBA.  The PBA's job is not to take care of your league bowling ball reform.  The PBA's job is to provide a venue for the worlds best bowlers to compete in, period.    It's not to protect the game, change the game or enforce the rules or integrity of the game.   I'm tired of people trying to put the blame and shame on the PBA.

It's also ridiculous to blame the ball companies, if we were'nt buying they wouldn't be selling.  Most of the problems of bowling tracks back to bowlers.

It really doesn't help when instead of putting all there stuff for sale in the FS/FT misc forum, some people create 6+ different threads in 6+ different manufacturer specific fs/ft forums and then bump all their threads just about every day.

Silly me! Like a moron, I've been bowling with just one ball that is over 15 years old. Hmmm imagine what I could do with a Nano or 3.
