Gee, Walter's the best bowler, what a surprise . .
« on: July 16, 2003, 08:05:16 AM »
I just hope we don't hear any complaining from Michelle Feldman.  No stuff, she had a great year, but as long as it's the best BOWLER category, it doesn't matter if she led every PWBA statistical category (just an example), if those stats don't beat Walter's, she's not gonna win.  He still did everything better.  Period.  Lol, I'm a fan, Michelle ROCKS big time, but being honestly objective, Walter knocked the stuff out of everybody.  Point and Case.  I LOVED that snowboarder though, LMAO, what a loser.

Yeah, like Feldman was going to beat him. The race should not even have been close.

And what really got me was what Carolyn said last telecast about it being award that Michelle SHOULD win.  I don't remember how she worded it, but after all her whining after she lost to PDW last year, it's getting a little old.

Well those are 2 completely different situations. Michelle didn't hold a stick to what WRW did. Carolyn should have won the year before. She had probably one of the 2-3 best seasons if not THE best season a bowler has ever had.

She deserved to win. But the reason she was pulling for Michelle is because she is on the women's tour. PERIOD.

All I have to say is... you all can keep Anna Kournikova... I'd take Serena Williams ANY day.

Wow is she hot.

As far as WRW winning.... was there even a contest?

Serena has the backend to make a Cherry Bomb jealous.  Other than that, she's . . . muscular.  You've got weird taste, Bjaard, lol.

michelle feldmen dominates the PWBA the same way mark roth did with his cranking ways when he first came on tour. Noone could match his rotation, same with the PWBA, noone on the tour at this time can throw a ball the way she does.

of course this is just my opinion i could be wrong

there should be no surprise that walter ray won the espy---he DOMINATED the tour in 2002-2003 like no one else has in years. i still don't think people( bowlers or not )really understand how great his ability is. we will probably never see a player like him again.

Walter, hands down is the best in the history of bowling.  Would you consider him the Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan of bowling as far as domination over the years?  Do you think that he still hits some horseshoe tournys in the offseason?  I know he built a horseshoe pitching area at his home.  Pitching shoes was pretty much his first love.  But, does anyone think he still gets out there and competes when he is not bowling?

Yes he does.

He enters the world championships every year and he even competes in horseshoes on off days during the bowling season.

i would not consider walter ray williams, jr., to be the tiger woods or michael jordan of bowling---he's beyond that. he's dominated the pba tour for years and shows no sign of slowing up. the michael jordan analogy isn't applicable really---basketball is a team sport. no matter how good jordan was he couldn't win by himself.
