I started out really rough tonight, and one of my teammates said, "youre not doing anything with your right leg." And then I realized he was right. So anyway, I then made a mental note to "kick out" a little with my right leg and WHAMMO! i was consistently crushing the pocket. I dont understany why that is so important but it obviously is.

It moved your hips out of the way and put the ball in closer to your sliding foot thus increasing your leverage on the ball.
