Title: Can this indentation be fixed at pro shop?
Post by: 2HANDSALLDAY on August 12, 2016, 02:29:29 AM
Sandpaper filled half of the indentation. 1 shop said yes 1 said no

I don't see what you are pointing to.

Just above the serial number. Picture needs to be clicked larger.

How did sandpaper fill it?

The sand filled into the crack, like a bandaid on a cut, i know its gruesome but its the only metaphor i could think of.

I think you are mistaken on how sand paper works.

At any rate, the picture shows the crack to be pretty insignificant and doesn't appear to be in your track anyway. By the very nature of their intended use, bowling balls get scratched and cut.

If that is considered serious, then my balls are all but destroyed lol.  if it isn't on the track, it doesn't matter.  I can shoot 279 at any time with my 10+ year old Vertigo and it isn't exactly in perfect condition.

Bowling balls are going to get banged up. Even if that scratch is in the track, it won't affect anything. Most balls have engraved logos and such that often fall into a player's track - and that scratch looks harmless compared to them. That, or I'm not seeing what you are talking about.

I don't know, man. That looks pretty serious. You might take it to a third pro shop and get another opinion. Go with best 2 out of 3.

You should go get the indentation in your head looked at first.

Take it down w/roughest scotch brite you can find, then throw ball in rejuvenator.  Once completed, total resurface, then repeat all these steps again.  Should help make it less of an indentation than what it is now.

I say wipe it down with those groovy pants you have on, that just might help. 8)

Is a little light in the wallet as my USBC card expired. It is not on my track but may the indentation affect the my revs ?  My revs are very important to me as my tilt is one of the weaker ones.

When I had a similar "dent", "divot", or "indentation" on my V2, I let it sit outside the backyard patio on a ball cup in the hot summer sun. The key is to have the affected side at the 6 o'clock position. The defect will slowly correct itself. I learned this method from Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, famous for his knowledge beyond the stars. "it doesn't work, but it works"

Drill a 2.5" hole to 3" deep and then plug it.

As anyone else noticed the first picture is upside down and the other one backwards?

The sun was covering the indentation like he advised. The 1st
picture is correct, upside down

Looking again the first photo is also backwards. The pictures have been flipped, if you just turn the photo 180 degrees the USBC and the serial number are still backwards.

Put a balance hole where the indentation is.  Make sure the CG is kicked out.  CG matters...  ;)

Can baking soda toothpaste work?

Only if you use a hair dryer or heat gun to dry it properly so it sets up good.

You do know that none of these fixes will work, right? We are all making fun of you and you're too oblivious to realize it. That indentation doesn't make a hill of beans difference. The fact that you throw 10lbs is the biggest problem. UGH!!! Get a clue!

hahaha.. i hope you're joking. I really believe you're joking... Mr. Volcano is most likely an old BR member trying to bring back the non misc. forum using a different handle. Or, just another spammer who somehow won the hearts of a few and got into the iggy list by many. For now he's not in my iggy list, it's stupid, or he's stupid, but smart and funny at the same time for me...... If you're being sarcastic, pardon me, I may the dumb one here... lol

LOL....I'm totally joking. I just can't believe this guy actually believes the stuff we have been posting. I do know that's he's a legend in his own mind though! More revs than Belmo and more carry than Bohn III. I need lessons from this certified coach!

He's now posting on another forum under "2handedsniper" with about 30 posts.. He has been asked to post a video of himself bowling and he responded he may but only if the other posters are nice to him.  Hopefully, he'll stay on that forum only going forward.

LOL!!!!

I would love to see that, and a few other things:
1 - that video of his awesomeness
2 - a picture of the indentation filled with toothpaste and baking soda
3- him stay on the other forum.

When did all of the unmoderated friends come out of hiding??

When someone told us that a certain party was back spamming this site again.

It doesn't happen at the other site we hang at, and that is because the MODS will not tolerate this crap.

But here I don't think they really care all that much.
