I  was wondering if u can resurface a bowling ball without getting a pro shop to do it.

It would be more difficult if you didn't have sandpaper, Scotch-Brite, or Abralon pads. 

Yes, you can but it would be best to use a ballspinner.  If you don't own one, maybe you can find someone else in your area who does and you can work out a deal with them.

Agree with DON DRAPER.  Getting a ball spinner and learning how to bake a ball will also extend the useful life of your balls and save you money in the long run.  You can also polish and sand the coverstock to alter a ball for out of town tournaments and when the conditions change.

You can do a quality resurface job at home with any personal spinner. Just make sure you pay attention to the coverstock and use the appropriate abrasives (abralon pads, sandpaper, grit polish, etc).  A haus machine is certainly faster and more precise (no flat spots from folks using improper technique) but no better investment in my opinion than your own spinner.
