Rounding out My Arsenal
« on: May 07, 2012, 07:49:01 PM »
I've been back in the league bowling thing for 2 seasons now and want to get the right balls in the bag.

Here is what I currently have in the bag:
1)  Polished Virtual Gravity Nano - first ball out of bag
2)  Second Dimension Sanded 4000 Abralon - second out of the bag
3)  Hyroad - standard factory finish - I rarely ever use it

Here are balls that are in my closest and hardly ever get used:
1)  Storm Furious
2)  Ebonite Big One
3)  Brunswick Vapor Zone (only one drilled pin down)
4)  Columbia 300 Plastic Ball

On an average league night, I'll pull out the Virtual Gravity and see if there is enough oil to for it to be used.  If there is, I'll stick with it all night and move in.  If there isn't, then I'll switch to the Second Dimension, and I'll move in with it too.  Once it gets too dry, the Second Dimension with it's sanded shell starts to burn up.  The Hyroad hooks more for me than the Second Dimension surprisingly, so I don't use it much.  After those three balls, I don't really like the ones that are left.  What do you think a good ball would be for lighter conditions?  I do not might moving right at all with a weaker ball, as long as it has hitting power.

Before trying anything else, why not sand the HyRoad to 4000 Abralon and see if it will fill the spot.  If that's still too strong, add polish.  --  JohnP
