Where are the good deals around the Twin Cities for open bowling? Any places that offer pre-payment cards? Any places to stay away from?

thanks

You may want to send a message over to laner7pin as I believe he is from the area.  I haven't bowled anywhere up there for a year or 2 so I'm not sure what places have the good rates.
On edit- You may want to check out www.mnbowlingforums.com and ask on that forum, a lot more people from the cities check there.

Check out Cedarvale Lanes in Eagan (shameless plug for that's where I wokr in the pro shop). They usually have good open bowling deals, I think it is $2 a game during the day, $10 all you can bowl on Monday and Friday nights from 9pm-1am. Probably the best lanes in the area as well. I know also with Cedarvale, if you bowl the summer league, you get 100 free games (one card per league, you could technically get 4-500 free games). Those are good anytime except for everybody's favorite.....cosmic bowling. I will look more into prices tomorrow.

Tonka lanes (Minnetonka ave off 169) has $1 a game open bowling Sundays 9-12 am,
Lyn-del lanes (Lyndel ave, Bloomington) has $1 a game open bowling on Thurs nights I believe.

thanks for the info. i just moved to the area and have a habit of throwing quite a few more practice games than the average roller, so, the 3.50 a line charges at some lanes seemed a bit steep. laner7pin, good call on the summer league deal. since i just moved here, i'm obviously not hooked up with any leagues, but, by summer that could be a good option for me.
