Ball speed, revolutions, Qubica and BTM
« on: February 09, 2004, 01:47:07 AM »
Like any BTM fan I love reading the ball reviews.  What I am curious about though is how to figure out what type of bowler to compare myself to.  It is very easy for me to eliminate "cranker". That does not describe my style or ability.

Well, that leaves stroker or tweener.  Since they list the mph and rev rates of their stroker and tweener that will help.  But BTM measures mph at 10 feet and I believe that Qubica measures at the pins.  First, is my assumption about Qubica correct? Second, if so how does speed at 10 feet equate to speed at 60 feet?  Obviously, Qubica speed would be slower but one of you physicists at their must know of a formula or approximation.

Next is revs.  How do you measure the revs?  Is there an easy way?

I believe that I would be classified as a tweener but I'm curious to see how my stats line up with the comparative bowlers at BTM.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

What about revs?
