This is exactly what I did the 3rd game in league the other night. After bowling nearly 2 games and getting frustrated watching the ringing 10's and nothing was working, my wife asked "so why do you watch?". I had just switched to my brand new Silver Streak solid a few frames earlier, so I decided to try "not watching" in the 10th frame. I threw all 3 strikes in the 10th doing this, so I decided to continue on the next game, at least until the streak stopped. Well it didn't stop until the night was over. 15 in a row to end the night and I didn't see any of them. I could just tell by the reaction of my teammates and others around as to what the results were. From what people were telling me, every ball was flush. I don't know, maybe by knowing that I wasn't going to watch, I made sure that I executed and made better shots and now they carried. By not watching, I mean releasing the ball and then turning and walking away.
I don't think that I'll be replicating this feat anytime soon, it was just one of those moments.
Anyone else ever do or witness anything like this?
