For 2 months, in my Thursday league,  for the life of me I just can't seem to carry no matter what adjustments I make    (moving up on the approach, slowing it down,  tightening up my lines, more axis rotation /tilt)  Nothing is working 

My question is to you guys is, how do you guys go about it, and does it ever get to a point where you wanna take a break or something?

I've change equipment as well, surfaces, the whole nine with no success: I guess I'll just have to bowl my way out of it, just keep it simple as usual.

Simply put, you need to change your angle to the pocket.  Moving forward or back on the approach rarely works, because most bowlers end at the same distance from the foul line anyway. 

First I like to make a small move closer to friction (outside on THS) so that I'm coming in at "high flush" because my chances of carrying the corner pins goes up dramatically. 

As long as I'm having good ball reaction I will not change balls until I've exhausted a few different entry angles.  (Too many bowlers nowadays bring too many balls to league and feel "obligated" to use them all, but waste an entire game or so trying to find out that their original ball was probably sufficient.)  Be patient and focus on letting the ball hook instead of making it hook.  Less muscle is easier to repeat, so find a way to relax as you try to find your ideal line.  Good luck as you move forward.

Biggest thing I do is watch the ball go thru the pin deck. If I start hanging corners, I watch where the ball leaves the deck. I evaluate if I threw, what I felt was, a good shot. If so, did the ball continue towards the 9 pin or deflect towards the 8 pin? If I like my look with the current ball and feel I can keep scoring with it, I will make a release change and/or move my feet. If that doesn't work it's time to change balls. Sometimes you can make all the right moves and still struggle on a pair. Make your spares and grind it out.

Just a sidenote:

On my previous post I said change your angle to the pocket.  I did not say increase your entry angle. 

Sometimes the condition allows the light hit to carry for one guy, while it doesn't for the next guy.  One does not even need extreme angles to hit "high flush".  On any given day we will need more or less angle, but we still need to hit the pocket with some regularity.  So, if you're not carrying with one particular angle, try a different one.

Therefore, I agree with avabob.  It would also be unsafe to assume that "no deflection" is optimal, or the right handers would leave the 9 pin too often.  Any other thoughts?

Thanks for the responses guys....  Coorzero, I throw a little bit of everything.....   Right now I'm throwing my venom strike, and my IQ tour nano.    Avbob /Notclay,  I play straighter to begin with,  but pattern breaks down pretty fast  (medium/ dry Conditions forces me to open up my angles after a game and a half).

As I mentioned with all I've done in all areas to carry that pesky 7 pin,  I'll just have to stay with it until It changes for me.  As mentioned, just part of the game.

Most of the time for me, it means my ball is coming into the pocket too steep or too late.  Prime example last league night I was using the Fire Quantum and finished game two with two tens because the ball came in a little steep.  I changed to something a little smoother in the Ultimate Nirvana and carried everything in game 3. 

Pay close attention to the way the ball comes into the pocket and spot on the lane that the ball is making its move
