I was wondering, is there any difference in how a 16lb ball carries compared to a 15lb ball? i went to a 15 lb ball, and it seems to carry just as well.

In comparisons to ball created in the 70's and 80's, todays 14 pound balls properly thrown can carry/hit harder than 16 pound balls. All too often, 16 pound balls today simply hit the pins tooooooo hard. By far the most popular weight ball for the pros and adult men is 15 pounds. Infact alot of top bowlers that hit the ball hard have 14 pound balls in there arsenals.
