Is it carrydown, or is it blown apart heads? Switch to a weaker cover and add surface if needed to get through the carrydown. Sidewinder was good for this sort of thing...

Have you tried taking the polish off and maybe having the uprising at 4000? or even 2000?

oob is 4000, so maybe just take the shine with a scotch brite pad i can go to my shop tommorrow and see if 2000 would be better and mess around with the surface. if that is the answer that will help but the less surface would be more friction i mean right now first game is fineee good solid look about 3rd frame in 2nd game just swims down there.

I have the Uprising, Suggested layout and it seemed to me OOB at 4k with polish it never recovered. I am speed dominant, so I took it to 2000 and the ball would start up earlier and still had good recovery if I leaked it outside. Thats just my thoughts, because alot of the ball companies seem to apply ALOT of polish from the factory.

I would try something with a little bit of surface on it.  You don't have get extreme with the surface, but something other than shiny.  It'll smooth out the lanes and give you a better reaction, something you can work with.

I used to use almost primarily pearl equipment or solids that were polished.  This was mainly due to the fact that I was very rev dominant and needed something that would get down the lane.  Carrydown would kill me everytime.  Now that I've gotten a little more ball speed I've started using stuff that has some surface on it.  Ball doesn't jump when it hits dry boards now, but the reaction is much more predictable.

Bob hit the nail on the head. The Uprising needs head oil to perform. Move inside with the  oil, slow your ball speed down and that should solve your problem.

Also, the Uprising works well at 1000 and 2000 abralon polished. I prefer Finesse It II but Bean's polish or clean and sheen works well with the Uprising cover. The Clean and sheen on 1000 abralon is close to 1500 polish, but does not leave as shiny a finish and is not as jumpy off the dry.

Last, the Uprising is a sponge. Must clean it often. Hot water bath is a must every ten to 15 games to keep it in top shape.
