Title: Carrydown issues.....Part II

Here is the topic I posted not too long ago:

Well, I have tried a few more things with no luck.  I am fine the first game but after that I just can't get the ball to turn enough to hit.  I tried my Shock Zone Pro finely sanded but it jumped not matter what.  I have an HPD drilled with lots of length but I haven't thrown it in awhile.

Here are my options:

Power Groove Reactive--pin 7 inches from pap--I was thinking of finely sanding this one to grab alittle more at the end
OR
Shine up either the HPD or Shock Zone and hope they are still aggressive enough in the carrydown.
OR
I may even try my Sledgehammer with it polished by hand.

I suggested a layout of pin below ring and cg kicked out. What was the out come of that on this condition?

Looking at your profile I saw that your Ball Speed is listed 15.5 to 19+ mph at the pin deck. When oil pushes down ball speed becomes critical... as well polished stuff should be avoided since todays resins skid more on oil.

I might suggest once the oil pushes down and you begin with the weak 10's move left with your feet playing same breakpoint but slow down the ball speed to 14.5 at the pin deck. This should allow you to recover and carry until the shot really breaks down enough to open it up.

yip! I agree with pinbuster. I have a scream/r  pin under ring and the cg kicked out to near my pap it rolls up very strong and continues the move down the lane even in some serious carrydown, where my inferno fails to get back I use this works great!

I tried my Intense, polished with an up the back release.  It worked during the tournament I bowled in the same house, same pattern.  However, it seemed the carrydown was lighter during tourney than league, probably due to less spraying going on.

I may put some surface on the Intense and try it.  BTW, the intense is pin below bridge, cg kicked out.

Thanks for the help guys,
Andrew
