i really need to stop diggin myself holes
« on: November 27, 2003, 08:31:06 AM »
Every tournament i go to i dig myself a huge hole the first game.

Sweeper i was at our pair broke down in practice i got one shot, backends were screamin so i got inside and tried to belly the ball, had massive over under. I saw alot of guys goin straight up so i moved out and punched out for a 160 the first game.

I go off that line and go 246, 258, 251, 238 and end like plus 150 or 160 for 13th. I made money but if i go duece my first game i make it thru eliminator, i make it thru big board and maybe some of my first 5 brackets i were in (i won all 5 of my 3-4-5 brackets) and i would've made top 5 stepladder if i had only of gone duece.

I guess i shouldnt complain i averaged 245 the last 4 and played a tough line for me, goin straight up hard with end over end killing the ball. I made more money than i spent, but the way i started kinda puts a damper on it .

any suggestions to avoid this first game woes. its really costing me alot of top 5 places i do it all the time.

well, you learned something for the next time. You'll now know what adjustment to make much earlier in the game when you face that condition again, which should help you salvage more than $1.60
