Clean team game
« on: November 26, 2003, 05:04:11 PM »
Last week my 4 man team shot a game with no open frames.
Even the eleventh frame was all fills.  I don't ever recall
any of my teams accomplishing that, however this is the 1st
time bowling on a 4 man team.  I am sure it is less likely
to occur on a 5 man team.  Anyway, we were proud to have done
it.  Is this a rare thing to happen or do you see this often?

Our 5-man team has done it a couple times.

Yea, i would say its a rare feat, because, i have seen teams shoot over 1200 scratch and have a open or 2, cuz, i mean someone will leave a pocket split or something or miss a stupid 10pin or 7pin.

I mean i have been on some good teams that had team averages close to or over 1000 and maybe had team games with less than 5 opens and that was a good team game cuz we would shoot close to 1100 or more scratch.

But yea, anytime your whole team goes clean for a game, i dont care if you all shoot 180's its still kewl.

My 5-"man" team on Mon nights accomplished the feat earlier this season. We have a couple of women on the team including my wife (185 ave) and my buddy's wife who's ave is in the 150 range. I wasn't aware of it until the 9th frame when our 4th place bowler mentioned it to me and we didn't tell anyone else until the the game was over. It was cool.
My Fri night team is a much stronger line-up, and I don't think we've had a team clean game or even close yet this yr.

I'm enough of a geek that if it ever happened with my team I'd get a printout from the front desk!
