To me it's easier in saying that it seems to be a more natural fit for your hand. I have been getting my stuff drilled that way for a few years. I really like it. If you can find someone who can drill it for you I suggest trying it.

My thumb is offset to the right, and I'm right handed.  It's not that common that means I have a dropped ring finger.  Most people have spans on their ring finger longer.

I'v had a 1/8" dropped ring finger for the past 2 1/2 years until 3 weeks ago at which time I increase it to 1/16 longer than my MF.....

it does exist in theory Bill Hall put me on to this method, He drilled on the PBA truck for 15 years.

You make a new centerline anywhere from 1/8 to over an 1 1/2 to the right on a right hander or vice versa on a lefty. It will take a few times to get it right, I had this for about 3 years.

Honestly got refitted the correct way and bowl better than ever, Jeff Walsh from K & K bowling services hooked me with my current grip and his co worker Sakae initally got me away from the CLT.

A T-grip is a T-Grip in no other terms, yes there all offset grips but they all equal a T-Grip just different spans and pitches.

Just try span and pitch changes and save yourself the hassle of having a cheese ball with plugging all over it.

Is it this so called "offset thumbhole" that Jeff Carter uses?

The layout shown on Jeff's website cannot be correct as drawn.  The point of an equilateral triangle has to be half way between the points of the other two angles, so if both spans are 3 3/16" the thumb hole will be on the centerline.  The RF span has to be longer than the MF span to match up with the layout shown.  Perhaps what is shown is the spans for the standard T-grip before the thumb is offset.  --  JohnP
