I bowl at three different houses.  I use a polished Track Champ for one house in Walled Lake, and a Columbia Jekyll at the other two houses.  Here is my question..  When I originally purchased my Jekyll, I bought it for dry lanes.  I tried the ball our on the lanes in Walled Lake, and the ball was way inconsistent.  Either made a very drastic turn near the deck or would just go straight through the 3 (righty)
I put the ball back in the bag, where it suffered through a 3 month retirement.  I recently went bowling at a different house (Drakeshire Lanes) and the shot was horribly dry causing massive burnup on my Track Champ.  The ball was rolling poorly, with the finger holes turning over on the wrong side and just looking and hitting ugly all the way around.  On a whim, I pulled out the Jekyll and the ball worked much better.  The ball reacted much more consistent and I posted some decent scores.  To make a long story short, I just came back from vacation and had a similar experience down south at a different alley.  Track Champ burned out, and the Jekyll performed much better.  

My question is, aside from the amount of lane oil, is there a chance that there is a different type of lane oil or even lane surface which could be affecting roll and performance?  Any info is appreciated

There are also different types of oil - like defense, offense, and prodigy - although differing amounts of oil are probably causing the changes you are seeing.
