need help with a ball
« on: January 01, 2005, 12:35:13 AM »
I am almost blind and have to use the dots on the approch the foul line and the gutter as mt marks cannot see any marks or airroes down the lane.I am left handed and would like to throw the ball along the gutter within a couple on inches of the gutter and have the ball hook into the pocket. I do not want to push the ball out and bring it back.
I currently own a intense inferno and a ricochet. I can not get them to the pocket when I throw them where i want to. Can anyone tell me what ball out there will do what I want?

Thanks
Ron

lanes are medium to heavy oil

I think a possibilty is increase the amount of rev/decrease ball speed. This can be done by altering ur backswing.A lower one would welp u get it to hook more but proberbly less powerful

You should always try to alter what YOU are doing before you buy a new ball.  If a ball isn't hooking enough you need to slow your speed, or get more revs.  And while this may sound mean, you shouldn't want to buy a new ball because you can't play the part of the lane you want.  That's how bowling is, it's about playing what will score well, not what you want to play.  You should get someone to help you before you try to buy a new ball, it's always cheaper.

BUT, if you're insisten on a new ball, go with the Impulse Zone from Brunswick.

IF you can describe how you release the ball.
I bowl with a guy that can't see out of one eye
and he is pretty good.  I gave him a reactive
ball and he bowls pretty good with it.

PM me with the details
