Potentially, you break back your wrist (more) without the brace, or simply top the ball. This can lower your track/raise the PAP - and changes the relative drilling of the ball!
Just as acvar mentioned, this can under certain cicumstances (e. g. when the ball had a leverage layout based on your higher wrist device PAP) have severe consequences on a ball's reaction and utility. What once was 4" pin to PAP with a strong reaction can become just a rolly 3" to PAP setup, which acts like an axis drilling with little back end and hitting power.
My suggestion would be to mark your PAP with tape on the ball and see how and where the core migrates to. Use a camera or have someone watch you from your non-bowling hand side, because from the player's point of view it is hard to tell what happens. But if the ball migrates towards the pin (and not the MB) without the wrist device, I'd consider a new layout, based on your new PAP.
It happens, just be prepared that it holds some unwelcome surprises in store
