The Jet line is produced in Korea, the weight core of the Altitude Solid is similar to the old Columbia Messenger line coupled with an extremely agressive cover desinged to grab on Heavy oiled lanes.

The first 3 Jet balls, The Jet, the Armor, and the Surrender, were manufactured in Korea. The 4th one, the Altitude was made in the US. The Altitude is their strongest ball to date and has a symmetric core. From the reviews in BTM and BJI it seems to be a fairly even reacting ball that does handle medium-heavy to heavy oil, depending on drill and the bowler's release. I have not yet seen one inaction. I have the original Jet, and, even though it has particles in it, it designed for medium-light oil.

Here's their website, in case you have not yet seen it: http://www.jetbowling.com/

holla - With me being on staff with Jet I'm definitely not going to steer you away from trying any ball in the lineup. With that being said anything we have are really great pieces for what they are designed to do. Even the ones poured over seas. I wouldn't have accepted the staff contract if I didn't feel that was the case.

My personal favorites right now are the Armor, Altitude and the new Maximum Altitude Pearl.

What exactly are you looking for in the Altitude? As Charles said, the Altitude is indeed a low RG ball meant for heavy oil conditions and does have a symmetrical core. I threw this ball in box condition at the USBC National event and it gave me an awesome look while burning a line for me to move down to weaker equipment. I also use it quite regularly on heavier oil tournament patterns. Stands up quite nicely in the midlane and has great continuation through the pocket.

If you go and like the Jet Bowling facebook page you can find some videos of the Altitude and Max Altitude as well as the rest of the current Jet lineup. By liking the page you will also have a chance to win a Altitude/Max Altitude/Blackbird (new spare ball).

All I can say is check them out and you won't be disappointed!

All my stuff is from the Ebonite line with a majority being track
Except for one
the original JET
love it on my old wood lanes dry THS
have had 2 - 300 games with it
works best for me with a 4000 dull on it, polished its a bit to unpredictable for me
shell seems extremely hard

my .02 worth

I think that sums up perfectly what the original Jet is perfect for Dave. Glad to hear you are getting some great use out of the ball. I am in the same boat with the surface prep on the Jet and the Armor as well. I definitely prefer both without polish on them as well. 4000 dull is perfect.

I'm a jet staffer in I will tell you that the original 3 balls are made in Korea and poured by Via Bowling...The new Altitude and Max Altitudes are poured by 900 Global here in the USA...If you are looking for a great dry lane ball I would tell you to drill up the OG Jet..The OG Jet is a great ball for especially THS on Wood lanes and when the lanes start burning up....If you are looking for a ball as a benchmark ball that you can read very easily I will tell you to drill up a Armor very good that you can read the lanes and a trusted ball in your bag. The Altitude is my favorite ball if you are looking for the heavy oil ball that will cut thru the oil this ball is a beast BTM gave this ball excellent reviews. Then the new Max Altitude you can play about 2-3 boards inside then the original Altitude in it still stores a lot of energy to the back end where it wants to hit like a truck if you are looking for a pearl with lot of backend motion drill up a Max..Also remember we will be having the all new Blackbird coming out also our brand new Spare ball...If you want any more info feel free to contact me at piquabowling@gmail.com
