no hook vs too much backend.
« on: December 14, 2009, 04:36:42 AM »
I bowled on a condition where my heavier oil equipment wouldn't hook enough but when I went to a weaker ball it would actually have too much hook on the backend.  What would be a recommended ball and drill for a smoother reaction..
or is this a release issue?
I have a creature s40 drilled with the pin in center grip (5 1/2 pin to pap) that is usually the smoothest thing I have seen.
The only thing I can think of is a ball drilled with the pin close to the axis..if I went with a drilling like this would you recommend a weaker or stronger cover ??
