Title: Chris Barnes.
Post by: Next Level PS on October 18, 2003, 09:30:50 AM
Being a CB fan I said to friends last week that he missed the cut for the first time after making it 27 straight times tournaments. I told them that he was going win the next stop. Guys any thoughts? CB has the best release in the bowling and Fagan has the best arm swing. I know I opened up a can of worms. hahaha.

There are many bowlers I like, and Barns is right at the top of the list. I agree in that he has a very good release, but does that really make him have the most versatile as well?

With Chris, in the past there have been alot of things he was fighting, such as bowling all great game, only to lose 279-267 or something along those lines. I wonder about his overall mental toughness though. Being as talented as he is, there has to be something just keeping him from the top, and it is hard to point out what that "something" is.

The same could be said for Mike Haugen and Brad Angelo.  These guys are both AWESOME, and I do mean they're very impressive.  Brad was pretty nervous last week on the telecast, but you should have seen him the night before when he had to win three consecutive games after being down 3-1 in the round of 8 to make the show.  These guys both shoot NUMBERS and seem to get beaten.  Look for both of them to have breakout weeks which will definitely turn into years.  They're gonna be around for a while, and I'm very confident in saying that they'll both be exempt for next year.

Cocky?  I'm not cocky.  I'm the proud owner of a 280-742 set with a White Dot.  So, who wants to touch me?  . . . . . . .  I SAID WHO WANTS TO F*#%!&G TOUCH ME?!?!

Man!  I'm like the white Larry Bird!

i'd say chris barnes is pretty versatile----he told me he has 7 or 8 releases he can use ! he's just a great talent. rick benoit told me that chris at his age( 31 i think ) is FAR better than walter ray williams, jr., was. i remember walter ray struggling to break through and it happened---chris will have his turn. simply one of the most talented players to come along in the past 10-15 years.
