christmas present help?
« on: December 10, 2019, 08:29:17 AM »
So, i don't really need a new ball, but i'm all for new toys and thats what the wife and kids wanna get me, soo....

After Dark Pearl
Hyroad Live
Squatch Pearl
Turmoil Solid
Halo Pearl

thats my current arsenal.  I'm good on house but i will be bowling in a sport league that features the US Open Patterns for Mens and Womens, and doubles/singles and team.  so none of the animal patterns or anything else.

I was considering one of the urethane options(tanks or honey badger urethane or black widow urethane) but i'm open to all suggestions.  I'm not trying to replace anything either, all the balls are a year old or less

Well, the pearl options are covered. I would want something with surface that reads the mids. Something that doesn't overlap too much with the Turmoil Solid obviously. An IDOL is generally a good option. The new Wild Streak looks like it will be something that's nice on the open patterns. Hard to go wrong with a Phaze II.

Money Badger Tour. Enough teeth for the flatter patterns with enough torque to get around the corner.

Phaze II

+1

It was the best ball in my bag at Nationals.

Phaze 2 for reactive option, Tank blitz for the "urethane" shape.
League: Pitch Purple, Destiny Magenta
Testing: MVP
Interests: Black Widow, Proof Solid, Idol Pearl

the two tanks were the two i was wondering about, wasn't exactly sure what the difference between them was.  I also have a shot i think at getting my hands on a purple hammer, PSO has one

The Blitz is less urethane-like thank the Tank. Quite a bit stronger too. It still rolls really early, but there's more of a defined shape to the arc.

That Blitz is sneaky strong, I really like this ball.

I hope this kind of ball becomes available from more companies. Would much rather see these everywhere than Purples or Pitch Blacks.

Keep us posted how it works for you.  Getting more and more curious about this ball as well. (edit: couldn't resist, have one coming next week as well.  Part of trade with PSO for my spare Purple Hammer (drilling included and several used gems as well) but I can actually use this ball on most conditions unlike my PH.
