CLASSLESS
« on: November 07, 2006, 07:01:08 AM »
Last night while bowling , a guy on the pair next to us had the front 9 in the last game.As I was coming off the approach in my 10th frame he was getting up on the approach for his 10th when this moron on the team they were bowling says loud enough for the guy to hear, "keep it out of the gutter now". What a classless move. I wasnt sure he heard it, but he told his teammate that he heard it as he was begining his approach and couldnt stop. I just thought that it was one of the most classless things a guy could do. By the way , he left a 4 pin and finished with 277.

In juniors there was an a-hole who ran up behind a kid going for his first 300, of course he missed.  Since he didn't touch him they had to count the shot.  The a-hole got suspended for a couple weeks, but that still isn't right.  That kid may never have that chance again.

Unfortunately all you can do is push on with your mental game and maintain focus. Gonna have morons do that all the time, had 1 guy do that to me last year, ended up shooting a 286. Tough luck, hope he shoots that 300 soon.

It wouldnt have been his first 300, but either way is was very bad. On top of it all, this idiot gets up in his 10th and goes 3 count gutter on purpose. Makes you wonder why his team was getting 100 + pins . They'd still be prying me off him if it had been me. lol

I remember back my sophmore season in college(02-03) at a baker tournament when Chris Loschetter was up in the tenth and needing a strike and a spare to win a critical semi final match.  Chris flushes the first shot perfect.  On the second shot, someone on the pair next to them slammed a ball down in the concourse on his 3rd step and Chris went through the face for a greek church.  After much chaos for the next 2-3 minutes and yelling back and forth between teams, Chris calmly went up for the attempt and converted the greek church for a win by 1 pin and the place went nuts.  One of the greatest bowling moments I've ever witnessed.

The last 300 I shot was in a youth travel league.  On the 12th ball, in the middle of my backswing, someone on the pair to the right dropped a ball on purpose.  I heard it, but was on it enough to where it didn't really phase me.  I come back, and knew who it was, but didn't really care all too much.  Everyone else did though, lol.

When I had my first front 11 all the kids were behind me at the ball return as I was getting ready for my last shot and my best friend told me kinda in a low voice so many wouldn't hear he said dont ditch it and laughed. This relaxed me a little and I threw the best shot of my life and nailed it for my first 300 so it can go the other way sometimes

What you do for people like that is you do your best to ignore them and focus on your shots. If you think your that distracted, you let him know. If you don't quite get a 300, it's probaly better then any puss he's had in his life. If you do get a perfect game, give him the finger and say a nice "F YOU" to him.

There r a-holes EVERYWHERE.  I was going for 800 1 time, needed a double in the 10th, right b4 the 10th frame, a "friend" told me "dont strike out....u will beat my 800 series"  Then, in the middle of my backswing, he yells, "DONT BEAT MINE!!!"  I dropped the ball & left a freakin washout....I still to this day call it a choke by me, cause i should have been able to deal with it.  Needless to say, were not friends anymore, & i almost punched him in the face.

Class tends to go away in those intense team tournaments (cough... Junior World Team Challenge)...

... but that's what makes it fun!

Last season I had a similiar incident. Has the first 10 and I stepped up for the 11th. Right as I was about to throw it, I got hit with a rosin bag in the back. Unfortunately a friend with really bad aim (due to a few beverages) was screwing off and tried throwing it at another teammate.

Well I came up light for a nice washout.

Stil haven't gotten my first 300

I was at a Tournemet one time and it was the finals and it was a regional pro versus a local guy I am friends with the pro along with a group of 5 or 6 guys who ball together alot in tournaments and league kind of a friendly rivalry thing that we got going anyway the regional pro has perfect game going and the local guy is right behind him it is a tight match and in the 7th from as the pro is going up to bowl you here this coming from the overhead '' YOU'RE  PIZZA IS READY ON LANE 34 YOUR PIZZA IS READY ON LANE 34'' The regional pro staggered tot the line and left a split and lost the match we were all laughing so hard we couldn't control ourselves. This regional pro went up and chewed every employee a new hole and so did the tournament director since then we have not been fans of the house which this occurred in

on one of my friends' teams it is an ongoing joke to say that for the 11th ball. the origin is early last season a teammate had the front 10 then threw it in the gutter on the 11th. so now anytime someone on the team has the front 10 they tell the person to keep it on the lane. the team has had the most honor scores of the league as well as being in the top 3 in team avg.

What kind of morons do you guys bowl with.  I guarantee you that that will never happen in my leagues.  We had 2 299's so far this year and on the last shots, everyone in the place stood behind the guy cheering him on for his final shot.  If someone pulled some crap like that to me and I missed my 300, I would beat the crap out of him regardless of jail time or prosecution!

Had the front 8 once, and an opponnent came up from behind me while I was on the approach and showed me an adult playing card they were using that depicted a female backside with an opening that appeared larger than life.  left a solid 9 pin and punched the 10th.  Chased him thru the parking lot and down the block while still in bowling shoes.  sat on the hood of his car and chased him some more when he returned an hour later.  That nite has always been termed the a**hole that cost me a 300.
