7-10......First Ball
« on: September 17, 2016, 04:35:38 PM »
I well accomplished your bowler posted on FB that a friend just picked up the 7-10 on his first ball! I have a pic.

How rare?

I am thinking that this is unbelievably rare!

On the first ball?  How would that work?  If you get a strike you pick up all the pins, including the 7-10, but to pick up only the 7 and 10 and leave the rest would not be possible.

Never said that the first ball was a strike....first ball took the 7-10 only.

I guess he practices this all the time and done it more than once I read on the FB post from the person who witnessed it.

Not necessarily impossible, just very unlikely. Long time ago I saw some 7-10's picked up by bouncing a pin off the curtain.

It depends on the type of curtain in back though. Some of the old curtains hung straight down and were stiff enough and there was enough room between it and the pins.

But most of the curtains today are angled back and you don't get those kind of bounces much if any anymore though.

So you could bounce a corner pin off it and take out the other corner.
