them? I shot one on Monday and it made me wonder how common they really are. I know a 7 is a heck of a lot easier to shot for me than a clean series. Personally, I would relate a 750+ series to a clean series on frequency. How about the rest of you?
-
I will generally shoot 3 or 4 a season between my two leagues.
About the same consistency of shooting 750+.
-
Usually about 3 a month.
-
Never. Can't get through a whole series without an unmakeble split. Only had 2 opens this week and both were splits.

If ignorance is bliss, then knock the smile off my face.
-
once every other week, my spare game is real good, and i dont throw too many splits
-
earlier this year, in the same Classic league, I went 113 frames in arow without an open - two clean 30's, then 23 in a row clean, then a split,
In a normal season I probably throw 10-12 clean 30's bowling two leagues per week.
-
I do it several times a year.
My average series is 2 opens - usually splits.
Last night I had 2 splits and one missed spare - not a good night.
-
I have a clean 30 probably once every other week or so.

Evolutionary. Revolutionary.
-
Since lane patterns break down so quickly, a "clean 30"
is difficult. I've had a bunch this season, but I'm usually converting
a 2-8-10, 4-9, or 3-10 along the way.
A "clean 30" would be a neat new award from
the ABC.

I don't think I do it too often, although I do hit my spares pretty good. Within the last month I recognized that I DID HAVE a clean SERIES! My first thought was .. isn't there a PATCH or something for it? There isn't a patch and .. to tell you the truth .. no one even recognized it ..that was a REAL BUMMER!
So in case no one recognized your shooting .. CONGRATULATIONS .. it ain't that easy!

Never!

Its probably a darn good reason I've never thrown a 700. I usually have 1 clean game a week. 2 weeks ago I had 1 clean game and in the 9th frame of the second game, I was thinking "Dont screw up, dont screw up.." Feathered it out too far, came in sissy light and left the nice 2-8-10. That ended that and I ended my night in a temper tantrum.

"Here we go folks, he is working off the first 8, and looking good. Looks good on the approach.... OH NO, its off his ankle and down the gutter!! OHH THE HUMANITY!"

12 times this year. About 12 times I was 29 clean.
My nickname and userid us thirtyclean. To keep a good
average you must make your spares. I always use a spare
ball and replace my spare ball each year (they become
too tracked out and start to hook !)

The Reno bowling assn. has (or used to have) a "Closed 30" award. It was highly coveted - and not awarded very often.
I have talked to the exec. director of the Portland Bowling Assn, and was asked to write a letter to the board asking them to institute the same kind of award.
You might want to give it a try in you own local associations!

Within my normal league- maybe once every other month. It's quite a tough house to do this in because you normally leave one split or another at some point in the night if you come in too heavy or too light.
In tournaments I can usually get a clean set in there among a regular 9 game singles/doubles/team event, once I figure out what the lanes are like.

2 clean series in a row.....651 and 663....and I'm getting rather tired of shooting spares every three frames
-
Like Pinbuster, I have a clean series about as often as I shoot 750+.
Unlike Pinbuster, I never shoot 750+.
Actually, I think I recall having one clean series this year. I'd take a clean series over a 700 any day.
