what is the going rate for a bowling coach?  and can they really help even though they dont use the same equipment?  i live in maryland.  not sure if that will help.

A good coach will be able to help you regardless of the equipment you use.  The rates that pishtosh posted are in the range of what I've seen and payed.  Where in Maryland do you live?  I'm south of DC.

Edit:  I currently pay my coach $50/hour

mine was $55 / hour, actually runs over an hour....that's for a personal, 1/1 lessons, ...you can do group lessons sometimes as well for a little bit less....

The seminars are held at AMF Shady Grove Lanes in  Gaithersburg, Md.
