College Bowling
« on: March 12, 2009, 10:58:59 AM »
I'm new to this site, long time viewer but never really had anything to say up until now. Recently i finished my career as a high school bowler and am wondering how college bowling is different from high school.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

totally different experience... there is a lot more travelling, and a lot tougher bowling. Also, a lot more team oriented.

You will find much harder patterns, almost any where you go.  And the competition is absolutely outstanding. Most formats are much longer than your normal highschool 2 game matches. Usually about 5-7 individual games, and 16-24 baker games.  Most are two-day tournaments.

you cant compare high school to college. I am bowling my last season of college and its a blast. harder shots better bowlers, nothing even close to high school. i would suggest it in a heart beat

Its a huge difference, but the experience you get is invaluable. Its awesome and worth the time...

High school bowling reminded me of league.

College bowling on the other hand is very competitive setting, more games, tougher conditions and much more of a team feeling.

I bowled college for 2 years, if you have the opportunity, I say at least give it a try.
