Combating hand moisture....
« on: January 10, 2012, 02:32:52 PM »
Hi Everyone.

So from night to night my hand, especially the fingers seems to be completely different regarding moisture.  The other night they were relatively dry and tacky, especially at the hand dryer just before stepping up to bowl.  Tonight I couldn't get them dry to save my life.  I used to use rosin, but have not for most of this year (use a tight thumb now and rosin makes it hang, don't want to get too loose on thumb again or i start squeezing).  Normally in the winter time its not an issue, something special this year with weather i guess...need to figure this out.

Wondering what you all use to keep your hand, specifically your fingers, in bowling shape while bowling.  Rosin?  Hand Conditioner?  Tape on fingers? Glove (al a Pete Weber)?

I use an old puff ball, but manually re-filled with baby powder and magnesia. Finer than rosin, and does a good job for me when my fingertips get sweaty.

A dermatologist one told me you can use antiperspirant on your hands and feet if they sweat a lot. Never tried it, but it is a different idea
