A really good but underrated ball that you could go up to would be the Infinite Theory from Roto Grip. This ball is a good asymmetrical, and comes with a hybrid cover. The great thing about this ball is that it's very versatile for your style of game. You can play straighter with it, or you can wheel on it while still getting a good, consistant reaction. I also think this will be a better choice overall than the VR Solid.
The polished hybrid cover on the Infinite (1500) gives you the best of both worlds: you get the midlane read of a solid, yet you get a little more length and the backend of a pearl. The Triliptic core gives you a ton of carry power in the ball. Seriously, it has to be one of the best cores that Roto Grip has produced to date (alongside the Rotary). The ball keeps pins low and is not afraid to send messengers. It also does a really good job on off-pocket hits. Surface changes are very simple. Overall, it should give you about a 3-6 board difference compared to what you have in the VR Pearl.
Now, the VR Solid is a nice ball, but it's going to be too similar to the Pearl. Same core, just maybe 1-3 boards difference at most, and you're still limited to medium conditions.
The Infinite Theory would be a solid choice to go up to, as it is going to work on medium to heavy oil. Once this ball starts to burn out, you can easily go down to the VR Pearl and should not have to adjust too much with it.
