Congrats to my Son
« on: September 15, 2005, 12:55:09 PM »
6 Months ago my son had 300 games in back to back tournaments as a youth bowler. This season he went adult and in his 3 weeks of being adult he shot his first Adult 300 last nite... that makes 3 x 300 in 6 months. At this rate, he might have get more than me in just 5 years. A lifetime of 300's in 5 years. Ive always believed that student become better than the coach but that is ridiculous.

Great job Dad! Make him buy you dinner every time he cleans up in league/tournament brackets and high game pots hehe...

Thanks everyone.

I have no regrets that my son seems to be having success. As a father I am indeed proud that my son is succeeding. As father that is what we want our kids to do and as a coach again the same is true.

I suspect my son believes he is better than me for several years now. And I am sure that these events are bolstering his self confidence. We have always competed to out perform each other especially in recent years as he is truely becoming an outstanding bowler. But, I still come out on top more often than he likes. ANd I hope soon it never happens again. I would love nothing more than to live my dream through him as a top professional bowler. But that is his decision to make.
