Congrats to Rick Wunder on his first 300
« on: October 06, 2004, 02:46:02 AM »
Rick (a frequenter of this board) rolled his first 300 as his first game in the monday nite majors league at hawthorn lanes in vernon hills.  He followed the perfect game with a 236 and 225 for a 761, raising his average to 239 (ok RW, you earned it).  Nicely done, sir.

Way to go Rick, nice series too.  Careful, you're going to lose that ABT Classic status...Or have you already

Thanks, Capt., for starting this thread.  Thanks to all of you who have replied, as well.  I really appreciate your comments.  It was a long time coming and it felt great!

Bones, after all the stories and threads I've read about guys shooting 300 and having a low series, I was glad to be able to come up with two more good games.  I started with the next four in game two, before leaving a ten pin, which I flagged.    Fortunately, I didn't miss any more after that.  I didn't really think about it until I was done, but as I filled out my ABC award form, I was glad that I didn't have any embarassing scores to write down.

Once again, thanks to all who have replied.

Congratulations Rick - too bad it didn't come in the ABT, but we can't pick and choose on these things...well, maybe some people can.
Hawthorn has always been a tough house for me personally.  Makes your accomplishment even better in my mind.

Congratulations Rick!  Hopefully the first of many.

Watching you bowl in NC two years ago, I would never have dreamed you hadn't throw one before.  Rick has one of those forms most of us should try to copy.  Smoooooooooooth.
