Dad, I received a call from the ABC today about your 812 this year. As it turns out, Sawbones in one of three people to shoot 800 at his age. There was a codger that shot 817 about 10 years ago that was 77. So Sawbones has the second highest score for anyone his age.
Props to you Sawbones, that is truly a great honor.
ps. I'm going out of town tomorrow, will you get my mail and paper? I'll be back on Monday.

CONGRATS!!!
I only hope I can do those things NOW - let alone at the ripe old age of 75+!!!

Congrats you have a heck of a game for a person of any age it sounds like.

I don't really play cards and I am not 79, but it fits together somehow.
-
That series was probably a 950 with his handicap. Or maybe that's golf.
Congrats on a great accomplishment.

Hey Partner,
Congrats!!! I only hope I can still throw the ball down the lanes, much less shoot 800+!! I hope that there will be a good doctor in the house at that age!!

Well done bones

Now if I can just get Sawbones to teach me how to break the 800 barrier, he could make the record books again as the "oldest coach to help a bowler shoot 800". I'm in rare air when I even get within 50 pins of 800, so I don't see any 800's in my near future, unless the planets all align and the pin gods are happy. Heck, here lately I can't even seem to shoot 700, much less get close to an 800.
Oh yeah, back to the important part here.....CONGRATULATIONS SAWBONES!!! Your prolific career is now known nationally.
-
Oh yeah Sawbones, while I'm thinking about it, I thought that I'd drop another idea on 'ya. Seeing as how your 812 got you ranked nationally in the ABC Record Books, go ahead and spend some of the Hose's inheritance money and get yourself the "Elite 800" ring for your 812 series. I don't know if you've ever seen the "Elite 800" ring design, but it is definitely a sharp looker and would look just fine on your finger! You can get the ordering info for the Elite 800 ring upgrade by contacting Keepsakes down in Texas. I don't recall their phone number for the upgrade pricing info, but it should be included in your 800 ring stuff. If all else fails, you can track 'em down on the internet and request that they send out the upgrade info to you. Also, the "Eagle 300" ring is a good looker too for your 300 that you shot back a couple of months ago. The pricing info on it should be included in the packet that they will send you. To get a vague idea of how both of these rings look, check out the latest ABC Rule Book under the ABC Awards, and they have a picture of both of these optional upgrade rings. Both the Eagle 300 and the Elite 800 ring upgrades are available in gold only (with diamond insets instead of cubic zirconium), but the Hose will never miss the dough!
If I come across the Keepsake(s) phone number or address, I'll post it here for you. I had them send me the info when I upgraded my 300 ring to the Eagle 300.

Oh yeh,
Nice one Bones.
Dan.

Yep Sawbones, with Dan's help, the phone number for Keepsake is 1-800-982-6515. If you click on the link, you will see the Eagle 300 ring on the left side of the page, and the Elite 800 ring is on the far right of the banner at the top of the page. If you don't see the ring display in the ad banner at the top of the page, back off the page and click on it again, as they display more than one advertisement on there.
As Alf says on the 10-10-220 commercial, "call the number, NOW!".
-
Congrats Sawbones, I can't think of anyone more deserving. 800 sets still impress me even these days of high scores. I will put another check in the mail.

Congrats on a great achievement. I second the spending on the inheritance. I always tell my mom to spend it, it's hers (and I could really use the money!).
Here is the ring itself http://www.keepsakebowling.com/abc/highscore/highscore.html

Congrats, Doc!
