I know who the new site owner is.
« on: May 26, 2003, 09:04:46 PM »
Its Bruce Hamilton.  He is the original owner/inventor of ballreviews.com back in 1998.  He bought the site back.  Some of the things still resemble the 1998 days.  The ones that were here back then will understand, like 10 in the pit.

BTW, if I am not mistaken, isn't the ballreviews logo Bruce's old logo from before eteamz days?  It sure looks familiar.

Regarding the new BallReviews logo:

Someone else said it looks like the PBA logo.

It looks like a ghost to me.

If indeed Pchee2 is correct about Bruce Hamilton, then the site is in good hands.  Bruce was the one that brought up this site from the beginning, and it had become a very popular bowler's site before Bruce turned it over to Eteamz.  Bruce was a "hands on" administrator here, taking care of business as things needed to be attended to.

I'm curious to know if "BH" is indeed Bruce, and if it is, then I will breathe a sigh of relief.  Speaking of remembering the earlier days, I still get a kick out of the "millennium glitch" that hit the site when the calendar rolled over to 1-1-2000.  The program defaulted back to the year 1904 or something like that, and months had more than 31 days in them.  Of course things finally got straightened out, but the "millennium bug" did hit this site back then.

Yes it is Bruce Hamilton.  I knew it before all the speculation (inside connections are nice) and now I just received a formal notice that it is indeed Bruce Hamilton.  Next time any of you post a topic check on the box that allows you to receive notices of any replies and you will see Bruce Hamiltion's name.

I told you all so stop doubting The Peach!

Yep Pchee2, the server time stamp should have been a clue to me....I seem to remember now (old age is tough on the memory!) that when Bruce was in charge, the server was on Eastern time.  Well, we're back on Eastern time again, so another piece of the puzzle fits perfectly.

Yep, I feel a lot better now knowing that we have Bruce back in charge of the forums again.  I was afraid that we were gobbled up by someone who didn't really care about the bowling public, but Bruce made a very good name for himself when he started up this website years back.  He did an excellent job of running things before, and I feel certain that he will continue to do the same.  I can breathe a big sigh of relief now !  Also, Scott was dead on when he mentioned that the new owner knew a LOT about bowling.....Scott and Bruce have known each other very well, long before this latest transaction took place.

Now if I can just sweet talk Bruce into bringing back some of the animated "Smilies" that we had when we upgraded to the Ultimate Bulletin Board way back when .

10,

Please do not roll your eyes at me.  I am from San Francisco and when men roll their eyes at other men its..........well you get the picture.  Plus Michelle is the only one that rolls eyes.
