favorite older ball that would hold up today?

lets go back atleast to before 2000, does anyone still throw a ball from this era? am i the only one who thinks that newer equipment is vastly overated, and some older balls from the 1990's still hold up. i still see a heck of a lot of hammers. i know 2 guys who average over 225 who use old crusty hammers from the early 1990s.

I'm still carrying a pearl Aftershock (1995).  Last week, I pulled it out when my X-Factor wasn't moving on the back end and the Aftershock finished strong.

AMF white XS, my buddy still throws his, and it carries just as well as his 2nd Dimension or HyRoad, if not better

I have a Brunswick Cyclone.  It's still round, which is probably the nicest thing anyone can say about it.

I have been bowling well lately and tonight I want to bring back my Gold Pearlized Quake.  

I am thinking it may hook a bit later than the higher aggressive stuff now, but still hit hard.
It should allow me greater angle playing straighter.

I totally forgot the control zone.  Easy Length and smooth backend.  Really saved me in late blocks.
