This year is going to wind up being very frustrating for me. I will finish the season averaging around 200 flat after booking 208 last year.

I did well enough in tournaments (averaging around 210 for the year) but my right knee -- not my left, sliding knee, but my right knee -- is a mess thanks mostly to an old high school baseball injury (and too many hot wings).

I can't bend my knee at or going to the foul line much anymore, and certainly not in any long-format matches. I've flitted around with some two-hand shots in practice and found that right-knee bend is basically not present in those shots.

At this time, of course, I'm no threat to actually be good at two-handing it. I've found I can generate a lot more revs (duh), perhaps even approaching the high-300 level, but I can't get enough forward ball speed.

If anyone else has made the transition, I'd love to hear your tips/stories.

Jess

Jess,

If you are having knee problems, how are your back and hips?  I have a teammate who has played around with two hand and has complained about his hips and back as he is putting more torque on both.

Mark,

Thankfully, I have yet to have any problem with either. Never with my hips. Occasionally, I'll sleep wrong or something and get a back spasm for a few hours, but that only happens 2-3 times a year. Bowling has never bothered either.
