Consistency in a season
« on: April 26, 2004, 08:56:29 AM »
I thought I'd share my results for the year with you. In the one league that has finished, my average was at 207 after 21 games. It went as high as 208, and as low as 205. I finished at 206.
For the average first game I shot 209.
Second game 205.
Third 204.
How consistent can you get???
Geez...

And my team said they couldn't count on me this year, and asked me to find another team. Granted, I was down some pins from last year, but so were two of the other three teammates... But that's another thread.

Damn, I wanted to hear about the other teammates.  I hate when people point fingers and can't tell the truth.

mumzie - This year since I did not really practice at all and only bowled 3 games a week I just used league as my practice.  I did work on different releases and different lines.  I strarted with 14 lb equipment and then went back to 15 because of timing issues.

After switching balls after the first 4 weeks I my high was 175 and the low was 169.  I averaged 170.  game 1 170.79 game 2 173.46 game 3 169.43

Overall I am down 15 pins but I can now many more lines and feel pretty comfortable.  Of course I played these lines when most of the time you could not score so carry was the main issue.  I do have a better spare game because of it.

We only have a 5 pin drop rule and 16 games before it changes.

Bones - LOL - that's EXACTLY what I'm planning on doing. And I'm practicing a bunch, and only bowling a sport league this summer so I'll be very much in tune for next season!!!

Mumzie you probably bored them to death!!!  What's Mumzie going to do?  Samething she did last week.  Oh how boring.  They couldn't count on you to keep them awake.    She just shot 206 again.  I wish sometimes I was that consistent.  I've finally healed from my hand injuries of last year and things are up about 25 pins or so.  The tale of 2 seasons in 1.  Just sew a stack of triplicate patches one on top of the other like pringles and go there!!!!
